This is a plain-language draft written to get the sign-up flow working. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Please read it and change anything that doesn't match how you actually want to run Merpy before you invite real users.
Merpy is a small personal project, part of Mali's Universe at chamiz.site. It is run by one person, not a company. You can reach us at Spasavee@gmail.com.
Merpy turns everyday chores and habits into quests. You make a circle with your family, your partner or your friends, add quests, mark them done, and spend the coins you earn on rewards the others have offered. Coins and rewards inside Merpy have no real-world money value and cannot be bought, sold or cashed out.
To make the app work we keep: your display name and username, your full name and date of birth, your email address, your chosen character, and the content you create — circles, members, quests, completions, rewards and purchases. Data is stored with Supabase on servers in Singapore.
We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising. Email is used only for things you asked for:
If you turn on notifications, we also keep the push address your browser gives us for that device. It contains no personal details, and it is deleted when you turn notifications off or the browser stops accepting them.
confirming your address, resetting your password, and — only if you ticked the box — occasional news about the app.If you add a child to your circle, you are saying you are their parent or guardian, or that you have permission from one. Anything you enter about them is your responsibility, and you can remove them at any time.
Don't use Merpy to harass anyone, to post anything illegal or hateful, or to try to break into or overload the service. We may remove content or close an account that does.
You can delete your account from inside the app. Doing so removes your profile and the circles, quests and rewards that belong only to you. Some entries may remain visible to other members of a shared circle where they are part of that circle's history. Backups may keep copies for a short time before they expire.
Merpy is provided as-is, free of charge, with no warranty. It may be unavailable, lose data, change or shut down at any time. Please don't rely on it for anything important, and keep your own record of anything you'd be sad to lose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of Merpy.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Merpy after a change means you accept the new version.
